Ajmeri Gate - JAIPUR, INDIA


The Jaipur city wall is the city wall encircling the old Jaipur city in Rajasthan state in India. It was built in 1727 when the city was founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II. The wall is six meters high and three meters thick. The three arches are finely decorated with floral motifs and mythological figure.

There are seven gates in the wall. Ajmeri Gate is the entry of the Bapu Bazaar which is a huge shopping market.
