Tavern on the beach - AGIA TRIADA, GREECE


Agia Triada is a suburb of Thessaloniki in the Macedonia Region of Greece and it is one of the most famous beaches in the area. Golden sand, crystal clear waters, always calm and shallow in the first meters is an excellent choice for families with small children. This well-known point of the municipal beach is a pole of attraction for hundreds of tourists during the summer season.

In 1923, the first inhabitants came after the Great Fire of Smyrna (Smyrna Catastrophe) and settled as refugees from Asia Minor and Thrace region, which today belong to Turkey. 37,387 refugees came and built 75 refugee settlements in the area of Thessaloniki. 1,754 of those refugees created the three small towns in Thermaikos bay: Agia Triada, Neoi Epivates and Perea.
