Saigon Central Post Office interior showcasing French colonial architecture in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, also known as the Saigon Central Post Office (Vietnamese: Bưu điện Trung tâm Sài Gòn), stands in the heart of the city, just opposite Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon.

Designed by French architect Alfred Foulhoux, the building was constructed during the French Indochina period in the late 19th century. Built between 1886 and 1891, it combines Gothic, Renaissance, and classic French architectural influences.

Today, the post office remains fully operational while also serving as one of Ho Chi Minh City’s most iconic landmarks, admired for its grand interior, arched ceiling, historic maps, and timeless colonial character.
